The museum is very family friendly. We recently went to see the Dr Seuss and Rockwell displays. I learned a lot about both american icons. Great displays about the history of the Upstate in South Carolina. Very easy to navigate and priced very reasonably. We will be back with visitors soon.

The museum itself is not the kind you visit over and over, not huge. But very well done. The traveling exhibits are fun and often do a kids night with free entrance once a month.

We had some rainy day time to kill and decided to try this museum. We had read about the Norman Rockwell exhibit...knowing we wouldn't see originals, but could learn about some of his works. The local portion was good, but a bit hard to follow chronologically in the museum. It seems it could have been laid out in a more... More

I have to disagree with the other reviewers about the Norman Rockwell show! I was very excited to see it as I grew up looking at the covers of The Saturday Evening Post each week, hoping for a wonderful painting of his. The show had a lot of good information but NO original artwork! There were some photos and lots... More

The newspaper announced the Norman Rockwell exhibit. Not only did we enjoy that, we also found the exhibit of disassembled objects photographed artistically quite interesting. We also spent time in the Kids' area driving Harley Davidsons.

We went here specifically to see the Norman Rockwell exhibit, which was great. Very informative, and it was fun to see the original covers from the Saturday Evening Post. We also thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the museum....and the gift shop was a lot of fun! We found quite a few things that we purchased there.

We went with relatives from Boston, and they enjoyed it as much as we did. We learned a lot about the area. Would recommend for a family outing. 7th Grade and up.

We were visiting family over the holidays. They suggested a trip to this museum to see the Norman Rockwell, "Home for the Holidays" collection being displayed there. It was an interesting and insightful few hours. The Rockwell collection was mostly magazine covers throughout his career that involved holiday and family themes. We enjoyed learning a little more about Rockwell's work.... More

I visited this museum recently to see the Norman Rockwell, Home for the Holidays exhibit. The exhibit was curated well and placed in an attractive context. The rest of the permanent exhibits does a fine job of telling the economic and social history of the Greenville area. Well worth a few hours of your time.

We visited initially because they had Norman Rockwell as an exhibition. I loved it, I learned more about Rockwell than I already knew. And the rest of the exhibits were great too. Many amazing facts to be learned! Plus there was a hands on area that fascinated my 6 year old son!
