The At the Chef’s Table Culinary Tour affords guests the opportunity to sit at the tables of some of the city’s top chefs and sample their signature dishes. Tours include special access and experiences that go far beyond the normal dining encounter. Not only do you get to meet the chefs and sample their creations, but you also get to see cooking demonstrations (usually offered on Tuesday tours), eat in elegant private dining areas, and more. Stops include visits to: Nose Dive (Gastropub) Soby's on the Side (Deli and Catering)* The Lazy Goat (Mediterranean cuisine and tapas) Soby's New South Cuisine (fine Southern cuisine) Passarelle Bistro (French inspired cuisine) Beyond the memorable culinary experiences, you will also learn fascinating insights into Greenville’s rich history, culture and architecture as well. (*If a restaurant has a schedule conflict, a stop at The Loft at Soby's or Papi's Tacos may be substituted. )

We just moved to the Greenville area and were having our son visit from Denver. We wanted to find something that all of us would enjoy. We were not disappointed. The tour was fun, informative with history galore and tastings that would satisfy any foodie. We were entertained and left to start planning our next tour. You will not be... More

To bring in the new year we decided to visit Greenville SC so we tried our very first Culinary tour which included a history of the surrounding area. What a wonderful idea! We had the best time!!! To sample dishes from 5 restaurants and enjoy a downtown tour was just what we needed to start our visit off to Greenville... More

My husband is a foodie type so we have done culinary tours in most major cities including a couple in NYC, Seattle, San Fran and even Paris, France more recently recently and this one rates right up there with the best of them. The food was excellent and the chefs all very entertaining and informative. But the history of Greenville... More

Greenville has become a great foodie location, and this tour hit some of the best! At each location, there was an appetizer-to-small plate size sample and beverage, presented by the chef along with detailed information about the preparation and pairing with the beverage. During the walk from location to location, John provided a great explanation of the history of Greenville... More

Food at each venue was uniformly great as were the drink pairings - the talks by the chefs at each stop were very interesting and gave a little insight into the "inner workings" of a busy restaurant. John, the guide and owner of the tour company gave a lot of interesting detail on the surrounding buildings and on the development... More

Tour was awesome. Food was great and very informative tour. Highly recommended. Never been on one before and was a little skeptical but everything was delicious. An opportunity to try foods I probably wouldn't order on my own

My wife bought this for me for Christmas and we final used almost a year later. Sorry I waited! The time and history and of course the FOOD was great. They are VERY accomdating to food allergy and special request. We loved all the restaurants we tried out. Some we have been to before and others we haven't but are... More

Excellent tour. Enjoyed Sobys on the Side because Chef explained his education and how their kitchen worked. Great drink pairings with the food at each place. Generous portions at each restaurant. In my humble opinion could have two restaurants with desserts and 3 with entrees

I had always wanted to go on one of John Nolan's tours and finally got the opportunity when our homeschool co-op scheduled a tour with him. John was at ease with the children and was totally adept at engaging them and spanning their wide age range. I had wondered if we would be able to hear him with all the... More
