What a terrific amenity for the Greenville area! I'm not really sure how long the trail is, but it is over 20, I'm sure. We rode north from the center of town as far as Traveler's Rest (the brewery there was closed so we 'settled' for Pink Mama's ice cream!), also taking a side spin through the lovely Furman University... I have rode many bike paths and this one rates right up there are top. The bike stops with the tools was a great touch.

We need more paths like this in Greenville. You can walk, run, skip, or bike the Swamp Rabbit Trail and enjoy the outdoors at the same time.

The Trail is well maintained and an easy ride. We felt safe riding it even through pretty remote areas. It was not heavily traveled the day we were on it which was mid-week. The is a cafe stop 3.5 miles north of Greenville where we had a nice lunch outside. We used a groupon which made the cost very reasonable.... More

Recipe for a perfect morning. Park in downtown Greenville and ride to Travelers Rest. Eat breakfast at Williams Hardware Cafe. Try to burn some calories off in the ride back. Round trip including breakfast is about 3-3.5 hours without a rush. Enjoy!

So popular it is sometimes TOO crowded - that aspect is the only reason this is not 5 stars. I am usually biking the downtown to TR route solo, but jogging whatever distance and riding in tandem or greater enjoyable as well. Be careful crossing the roads, but otherwise enjoy!!!

My first time here. Paved trail, nice shade, drinking spots along the way... perfect for my weekend LSD running. The view is not always nice. For the section I ran, I saw deserted buildings, run-down warehouse and used car yards. But it is a quite busy trail with bikers and runners. So I assume it should be safe. The trail... More

I love the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail. It is such a scenic ride, easy to maneuver, attractions at both ends to visit and enjoy, especially the two breweries on either end - Swamp Rabbit Brewery and now Birds Fly South, soon to have Community tap. The people you meet on the trail are always courteous and friendly. It is especially... More

The Swamp Rabbit Trail goes from Cleveland Street YMCA to Furman. I'm not sure the length of the total trail, but you can pick it up at any point along the way. We road our bikes from the Green Valley/Furman area to the end in Travelers Rest. It wasn't a long ride, but long enough to enjoy! At the end... More

This is a paved Greenway of 20+ miles that is fairly easy to ride and goes through downtown Greenville. The section through the Furman University campus is very nice.
