Great zoo for size! Had a excellent variety of animals. Took us a hour to walk through... perfect for young kids. Definitely will be back when back in town!

I can not imagine a zoo in a neighborhood but that is what it appears this zoo is designed to be. The zoo is near a highly used park. Children can be seen laughing and playing. There is also paved walking trails around the park that lead to the entrance of the zoo. All this was appealing before we entered... More

The picture is a little misleading since they don't have elephants anymore. Still a great outing for the kids. Animals are close to you and they have several new exhibits. Just finished a remodeling and they've done a great job. Check out the giraffe!

Fun zoo. Love the giraffes. They seem to have happy animals since they keep producing offspring. Hate that they don't have the elephants anymore. Takes about 2 hrs with 2 small kids with stopping at the playground in the zoo for a little bit.

I love our sweet, little zoo. To me, it is the perfect size for a stop, but it's not an all-day activity. When my children were toddlers, they could walk through, and it was great for me, because it wore them out, too. We didn't have to pack tons of snacks or strollers for an all-day outing. It's just the... More

Small zoo, but well-maintained and easy to cover in a few hours Clean with lots of free parking and a large park outside full of children's equipment

We used to go more often, but a lot of the animals have died or been given away. You can easily do the zoo in 30-40 mins. There are a lot of hills to navigate with a stroller. Now that our kids are in grade school, they'd rather do the AMAZING string of playgrounds outside the park (Cleveland park) which... More

The zoo has a good variety of animals for it's size, It's not nearly as big as a major zoo. It is great for kids and family, as it's also across from playgrounds and parks.

It's a small zoo but great for short outings. They constantly have events for homeschoolers. Get the annual membership and enjoy discounts on events. The park right outside is always great for kids (and big kids/adults). In the summer an icee truck is normally on hand. Also a good place to start/park for the swamp rabbit bike trail
