This is a must-see for everyone who visits the area - especially for your artistic friends and family. The art ranges from Gothic to Baroque, mostly, but a small area is available with ancient Egyptian and Roman artifacts. The frames and furniture are amazing and all of the work has been set in beautifully designed rooms.

The collection of art work at the BJU Museum and Gallery is breathtaking. To gather such a collection must have been one's passion over many years. The individual rooms are so tastefully appointed so that they cause the works of art to stand out. The "Shepherd Boy" was my absolute favorite. Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time as... More

If there is only one place to visit in the upstate of SC, select BJU University's Extraordinary Art Museum and Gallery. If you can leave in less than an hour it will be the dinner bell or church bell calling. Every time I visit two hours fly by and I ask many questions with excellent tours provided. Call ahead for... The 7.00 entry fee is worth getting to experience the seemingly endless collection of European religious art. It's the largest collection of Baroque period art in the western hemisphere. The art is very accessible and is not roped off so stay aware if you have kids with you. We left them at home. There is no photography allowed but take... More

I did a organized group tour and was just amazed on how much I learned, just how special the art is and a wonderful, very knowledgeable staff! Greenville and Bob Jones University are very fortunate to have this amazing European collection of religious art!

We recently had the privilege of introducing people to the Museum and Gallery. They are not art connoisseurs, and I had no idea that they would enjoy the M&G for over 2.5 hours! They went through slowly, enjoyed reading the well-written documentation on various pieces, and they went home bragging about the M&G. It is an extraordinary collection, presented in... More

My wife and I, who retired from the North East, read an article about this museum and decided to make the 90 minute drive to have a look. Truth be known, l'm not a student of art, but I've been to quite a few art museums and this rivals some of the better ones. It focuses on religious art, as... More

The museum is full of religious and hitorical artifacts. You'll need to visit several days to see it all. This is a Christian University that anyone can enjoy. The campus is beautiful, the museum is worth the effort and the student staff are very helpful and friendly.

This was a wonderful program designed for elementary-aged children to acquaint them with the Masters' artwork using Christmas themes. They had mini-craft projects to accompany the various countries features as well as a tea with treats from various countries. My six-year-old granddaughter loved the event and has asked to go to other events there. I myself could spend hours admiring... More

This museum was recommended by material from the visitors center on Main St.; was a super stop and a great surprise; super nice staff; this is the small museum of a much larger museum on Bob Jones University campus outside of town; this one when we were there was setup to show art and associated art forgeries; it was a...
