Great visit to view lighthouse and harbor. Great little area to visit. Price is reasonable to get in.

A month later still closed. At the gate we told them that we wanted to go to the preserve, they charged us the $6 entry fee for the car, but they neglected to tell us it was closed. We drove to the area, and in a small lagoon right next to the road and nearby the parking lot there was... More

The sea Pines preserve is basically inaccessible as an enormous number of trees have fallen from. Hurricane mathew. Hilton Head and sea lines were direct hit. The Plantation is littered with trees and brush that are being cleared as humanly possible. Hopefully it will reopen soon. Such a wonderful place in the summer.

Many of the trails are still closed. We were able to see the Shell Ring, but we were very disappointed. The bugs were also eating us alive so we did not stay very long.

We took our bikes to Sea Pines today (Sunday Nov 20, 2016). Beautiful day in the mid 60's. Lots of workmen clearing debris-but they didn't slow us down at all. we rode thru from South beach to Harbor town. Cost $6 per car plus $1 for each bike. Awesome trails have been cleaned up and ready to go. Not very... More

Great walking trails. Beautiful and peaceful, specially early in the morning. To our delight and surprise we ran into an archaeology excavation site at the time and they allowed us to be involved in helping them. What a treasure !

That is...before Hurricane Matthew hit the island. Unfortunately we drove to the Preserve but were unable to enter because of extensive tree damage. It sounds as though this area was understandably a less important area to focus on cleanup. The drive through Sea Pines to get there is to me always wonderful, with many birds visible in the waterways. Then... More

A must do if you're within Sea Pines. A great walk to the sunken swap. The boardwalk over the rice patties are fascinating. The pants are well marked. You can get a little muddy if raining. Bring a little water.

This is a beautiful place to ride bikes. There are miles, and miles of trails. It is easy enough for everyone - no hills. We were there just a couple of weeks after Hurricane Matthew, so the trails still aren't officially "open", but we were able to navigate without a problem. There were, however, miles and miles of piles and... More
