A challenging, but not threatening, golf course that features a collection of interesting holes including one with a beautiful coastal marsh as a backdrop.Carved out of 190 acres of breathtaking low country terrain, Oyster Reef Golf Club's spectacular 18-hole championship course is surrounded by winding lagoons, lush vegetation, and scenic views of the Island.Golf course architect Rees Jones used the natural landscape to create an inspiring course that combines challenge with a sense of fair play. Ranging from 7,014 yards from the championship tees, to 5,288 yards from the forward tees, the course rewards and tests golfers of all skill levels. Oyster Reef Golf Club is home to one of the most spectacular golf holes on the entire island, the Par 3 #6, which plays 192 yards from the championship tees to a green that is set against the backdrop of the beautiful Port Royal Sound.

The course itself was kept in great shape but it is one of those courses that winds it's way between rows of condo's and villas. You would expect something named Oyster Reef to be along the shore. It was but there is only one hole...More

Staff was extremely nice. The course was just ok. We paid $75.00 for a 1pm tee time. Not sure if it was worth it. I think we would rather play Hilton Head National next time or try some where different.

Only really one hole looking out to the bay. Only a few holes to play over water. Lots of very large bunkers to avoid unless you are looking forward to a combo beach/golf day. Had to wait for a golf cart and then very slow...More

We played this course right after the heavy rains. We experienced several lost balls in the rough off the fairways as they plugged or were covered by long grass. The course has a wonderful layout in the trees with no other holes visible. The staff...More

First time playing this great course. Starter was great. Very informative. Lunch at Lagerhead Tavern was excellent. Waitress was super. Only problem was due to recent rains, Mosquitos were terrible. Definitely would play this course again.

Nice golf course but avery chaotic on the first and 10th tee. I was a single and they put me with a 3-some instead of the 2-some ahead of us. I jumped up with the 2-some but waited on every shot. Then when we made...More
