They do a very good job infusing the history of the area into the lighthouse tour. It was interesting to learn how the Crown Loyalists on Dafauskie Island would skirmish with the HHI rebels during the War of Independence. Worth a stop if you're in Sea Pines.

We literally wandered into the Lighthouse on Hilton Head Island after getting lost. It was our first time on the island and we didn't know where we were going!! What a treat to stumble on this treasure. It is so historical. We climber all 114 steps to the top and we were amazed at the view. I can't wait to... More

The delightful lighthouse should be a must-see if you are in the area. Small and in a gated community (easy to get lost in) it is different in its wooden structure and each step has memorabilia and history pictures/explanations as you wind your way up. You'll enjoy the short trip and the view of the surrounding areas.

after hurricane matthew, this marina is practically non existent. the lighthouse is still there. would have given 5 stars if it were intact but sadly it and boats are heavily damaged.

Though the lighthouse itself is nothing extraordinary the climb up the stairs is most interesting. As you climb there is a history of the island along with pictures through the year. If you like history this if for you. There is a nice view when you get to the top

We were in Savannah and decided to go check Hilton Head island out. We went to look at the lighthouse when we first got there it's nice but very small and cost 6.00 just to get in the community it's located in. I found that to be a little silly. Once you pay the 6.00 to get to the lighthouse... More

Such a pretty place. Lots do see and do, shopping, walking around the area, sightseeing. We ate at a coffee/pastry shop. Just planned on having a coffee and pastry, but realized they had a lunch menu. Very good food and decent prices. We ended up buying some pastry for later.

I've noticed many reviewers have concentrated their reviews on the Harbour Town areas and not specifically on the lighthouse as it should be. Well this is my review of the lighthouse or whatever it is now because what it is today and what it was years ago are clearly two different things. My significant other and I came to the... More

A must see while you are in Harbour town. Purchase a ticket and visit in the morning /mid day and you can return in the evening on the same ticket to take in the views.
