Never thought a 400 year old Oak tree would be so amusing but it is a WONDER to witness!! ABSOLUTELY beautiful! The sprawl of the limbs is outstanding! Cute little gift shop to collect a memorabilia

If only trees can talk. This is a staple of Charleston history and a must see if you are in Charleston. It is a magical site!

Beautiful tree, nice little gift shop and friendly staff. The downside? There are quite a few people there, most not paying any attention to signs telling you to stay off of the roots. Also not paying attention to the fact that there IS parking and...More

The Angel Oak is a sight to behold! Some of the branches are bigger than other trees nearby! It can be crowded so don't expect to be able to take pictures without other people in the picture.

The Angel Oak Tree is a great place to visit year round. Even though you are not allowed to climb or sit on the branches you are still able to admire it’s beauty up close. Pictures really don’t do it justice. Take a trip of...More

If you’re nearby, should definitely stop and see. Beautiful angel oak and great photo opportunity. Gift shop already closed when our group arrived so cannot comment on it. Porta Johns are available if needed.

Take a ride to see an amazing tree that is hard to imagine it’s grandeur by a picture alone. If you hit it just right, around sunset, the light accentuates it’s beauty. It’s a great place if you only have a short amount of time...More

Although this attraction only takes about 20 minutes and gift shop very small, it is worth going to and getting photographs.

It’s a must do if your in the area. But please stay off the limbs!! Parking is tight, small gift shop. Very photogenic spot, doubt you’ll find s 400+ year old tree anywhere in the USA.

35-50 yrs ago awesome, now they have created so many support boards holding up the huge limbs it would not be near as good. There should be some other good size trees if you drive around the area.
