Went to Kiawah Resort last weekend and played the Ocean Course with my brothers-in-law and my father-in-law. We stayed in the Villas, which were very nice. Upon arriving at the Ocean Course, we were blown away by the views. Our caddies, Will and Scott, were incredible. They gave us great advice the entire round and were great at reading the... More

Rude security guard refused to let us through the gate. I was heading to the club to meet with my boss and discuss bringing our conference there in March. This guy said something about electricity, and that I needed to turn around and leave. I told him that I was meeting someone there, and he said too bad, and that... More

We were participating in the December 2016 Kiawah Marathon and my wife noticed a special rate for runners. I'm glad she did! We were greeted very warmly by the golf staff, and they allowed me to move back the tee time so we could have lunch before playing. We began the afternoon with lunch in the Ryder Cup bar with... The Ocean Course is a bucket list course like St Andrews, Pebble Beach or Pinehurst. It is a true links course very similar to Scottish Golf Courses but with more water. The layout is challenging but there are several tees for average to accomplished golfers. The winds were about 25 mph when we played which added to the challenge. A... More

We have played many of the top 50 courses in the world and this definitely makes it to my top 10. Immaculate condition (but then again it is nearly $400 a round) and a great layout. Challenging enough but not ridiculous. Bring a good game and if you are a decent female player (250 yard drives, single HC), do pick... More

Played a couple of rounds here. One of my favourite courses, but one that asks for your best game. If you play this for the first time, use a caddie. Some of the holes don't play just like they look.

I have wanted to play this course since i first saw it on Ryder Cup 1991. We had a superb day and the overall experience was 100% top-notch. Understandably it is pretty expensive, but well worth it, as a once in a lifetime game of golf. This was the BEST course i have played in the USA, better than Pebble... More

You can only play after midday here if you wish to take a golf buggy and a fore caddy is mandatory Cart path only so not really an enjoyable experience when you have to guess which club to take to your ball. Forecaddy was inclined to rush us as his objective was to get around in record time. He gets... More

I've played this course three times, and I enjoy it more each time. I've ridden it in carts and walked it with caddies. Walking with caddies is by far the better experience. I'm a 12.5 handicap and felt like a 16 on this course. Most of the holes are very playable and you can recover if you spray it a... More

Great round with outstanding weather, Robbie went above and beyond to help get us going without a hitch. Also swinging around for drinks and some wings proved to be a great idea.
