This place is not an educational and historically facility. I founded it in 1980 and was director for 6 years. When I resigned due to county leadership and its hatred toward African Americans this museum was headed toward accreditation. The new director turned to Charleston...More

Great place to learn about our area heritage. Always activities going on. It's a great place to host local authors. Art shows and a occasional art class.

Attended a book signing with dinner provided by friends of the museum - lovely setting and interesting artifacts and historical displays - while the museum is wonderful, this town has a lovely square with historical buildings and many lovely historical homes.

Prettiest little town on the way to the beach, hanging Spanish moss beautiful historical buildings, friendly wonderful people fabulous temperatures nearly all year long.....
