Check opening schedule of Cypress Gardens or visit a different site - there are several good state parks nearby, including one on an old canal. Plenty of birds and wildlife.

Very nice parks. Gorgeous shrubs, plants, gardens. Many beautiful flowers. Immaculately maintained grounds. Bring water bottle and insect repellent.

Such a great variety of things to at Cypress Gardens. View the alligators, stroll through a butterfly garden, or paddle boat through the calm of the low country waters.

Cypress Gardens WILL re-open in 2016 following historic flooding in October of 2015. Date to be announced...

Due to the flooding in the Fall, this attraction is closed. There's no indication if or when they will open.

Took a self-guided flatbottomed boat tour of Cypress Gardens swamp. Saw an alligator swim by! So beautiful and peaceful with water lilies everywhere! Did not walk around the grounds, but plan to go back during azalea time! It should be breathtaking then. A great place...More
