This is a relaxing stroll aroung the grounds by the Cooper River. The tour to the monks' church is worth attending. Especially nice if you just want to relax with Nature and/or pray.

Mepkin Abbey is a beautiful venue in an out-of-the-way area of Berkeley County. It is serene and has beautiful gardens, a gift shop, chapels and is the home of area Monks. You have to visit to really capture all that this site has to offer.

The abbey has some beautiful gardens to see with a very nice view of the Cooper river. Don't expect to see a bunch of monks walking around because you probably won't.
