Called the crown jewel of Mount Pleasant, Memorial Waterfront Park offers more than just your average park. Located under the grand entryway to the town, at the base of the Ravenel Bridge, this park has plenty of lawn for enjoying family picnics, a nautical-themed playground modeled after the bridge that provides shade and the boats that pass by in the harbor, and soft-serve ice cream from the River Watch Cafe. The cafe offers beautiful views of Charleston Harbor and a 1,250-foot-long pier where you can sit and swing a while. Memorial Waterfront Park is also home to the Sweetgrass Cultual Arts Pavilion, War Memorial and Visitor Center.

We have stopped in occasionally for a nice short walk on the long pier ( much better than the opposite!) and a chance to watch the sunset. Well kept and a unique area to view the bridge. Aside from drinks, we haven't had anything from the cafe. As mentioned before, when looking for the parking lot, follow the signs. Nice... More

What a beautiful park - very stroller / kid friendly with playground. Fabulous long span pier - covered sitting areas with swings along the pier - beautiful view of the harbor - public restroom - gift shop - and operated by the US Park Service!

Don't miss this place! The views of the bridge are spectacular, and the adjacent visitors' center is great (closes at 5). Great place for a quiet break.

This walking area takes you under and around the underside of the Ravenal bridge. The park has resting benches and paved walkway as well as green area for outdoor play. Restroom and waterfountain at the souvenir shop. Plenty of parking.

This beautiful park offers stunning views of the gorgeous Ravenel Bridge, Charleston Harbor, as well as the USS Yorktown. It is an especially great location if you are staying at one of the nearby hotels. This is without a doubt, on of the best parks that I have ever visited!

This is a family friendly park with one of the best sunset views in the area. There is something for everyone here. There are swings and benches for seating. There is a small cafe with sandwiches, ice cream, etc part of the day. There is a playground for kids and military memorial plaza. You can see USS Yorktown and the... More

After visiting Isle of Palms beach, headed to the waterfront park for the sunset views. Got lost from the GPS, I saw the sign but followed the GPS instead. BIG mistake ,if you see the signs of the park don't follow the GPS. I followed the GPS and bypassed my turn and unfortunately we were on the Bridge already headed... More

Unfortunately with the wildfires the sky was too hazy to enjoy the sunset. But this is a pretty area, I even saw a couple dolphins! There's a fishing pier so you can walk out a bit for some nice views.

Nice end to the day. Walked out on the pier and enjoyed watching the boats, sailboats, birds, and people fishing & crabbing. Nice backdrop of Yorktown and "the sunken hull". Quiet and peaceful. Playground for the kids. Green for throwing ball, frisbees. There's a memorial for fall heroes in the area. (FYI: pets are not allowed on the pier). There's... More

Perfect spot to catch the sun set, enjoy the water and to have dinner. Plenty of benches and swings to use. I want to go back and try my luck at fishing.
