For anyone wanting to see lots of fire trucks from different periods of time this is the place to go. This is for young and old, lots of info and interesting exhibits that were nice. I enjoyed coming here with my teen.

A friend of mine lives in the area and works for the county and she recommended I take my son. What a great spot. It is in a strange location but once you find it, there is so much to see and do while you're there! Really nice and well cared for! Make the stop, you'll be glad you did!

Being a volunteer firefighter, I often take the grandchildren to visit my station as well as stations/museums in the areas we vacation. I enjoyed seeing the progression of fire engines from the 1700's up to fairly recent times. The grandson liked the interactive activities of the museum.

Insider tip: if you're military, admission is free in the summer! This is a smallish museum with some fire trucks, and a lot of interactive exhibits that are appealing to kids. The staff are always kind and welcoming, and every kid will love the drive a truck simulator as well as all the fire safety tips and information.

Educational experience for the kiddos. We have multiple firefighters in our family so it was fun for the kids to understand some of the term and equipment.

The place isn't huge but don't let that deter. There are plenty of beautiful firetrucks on display. The museum also integrates many fire safety displays and interactions for children as well. I believe kids under 12 are free so that's more of a reason to make it a family stop. The 4D-style fire safety movie was unique and entertaining. I... More

Took my nieces here for their first visit and they had fun. They didnt care too much for the educational stuff, mainly because there is a slide in the middle of the building so, someone should have thought about that when designing this place. They also loved the fire truck simulator, although the screen was way off center. Also, the... More

I popped by here on a Sunday afternoon with my family not really knowing what to expect. I found the Fire Museum very fascinating and enjoyable. Tons of history, several fire trucks from the early 1900's, educational opportunities for the young ones (including a slide, fire pole and fire truck simulator). We left with a free fire hat and sticker... More

Young and old alike will enjoy this museum. It is near the Tanger Outlet mall and unless you are looking may not see it. It has a large collection of old firetrucks built by American LaFrance. A great history of fire fighting and a few learning stations for children and adults.

We had no idea what we were going to see when we planned a stop at this museum. We thought it would be a fun thing to look into as our two year old loves fire trucks. Holy moly this place was above and beyond our expectations! My son was on total excitement overload. The simulator was his favorite but... More
