My family and I vacation at Fripp Island every year and I wanted to venture out to the surrounding area. I have been to lots and lots of museums of various kinds and this is undoubtedly the best. It is small (like 12 aquariums) with local creatures from crabs and terrapins to starfish and whelks. The curator is your guide and he knows everything about them. Better yet, he will feed each one as you watch. It is truly fascinating... More

This was a wonderful experience. Perfect for a group of 10..any more and it might feel a little crowded. It is one intimate room with the tour guide taking you around each if the tanks. As he feeds each crab, sea star, turtle, etc. you are mesmerized by each species as they eat their daily meal. You will learn so... More

A product of one man's love of the low country, it offered great programs, but the actual facility was poorly equipped and operated on a shoestring. When the current economy cut essential funding,it was forced to close.
