This unfinished railroad tunnel is a nice stop on the Issaqueena Falls Trail near Walhalla, SC. You can choose to hike farther or just go down the tunnel, your choice! Remember a flashlight though!

Walk up a gravel road from the parking lot, it's a little steep but very manageable. Very unique place to visit. The tunnel is a cool 56 and you can walk about halfway through. Bring a flashlight it is very dark in the tunnel.

Love the story behind the tunnels construction and history. This is a great place to go when it is really hot in July in SC!

We've been here twice now, once in August and in May. Really interesting little stop. Be sure to go to the back and sing in harmonies! Amazing acoustics!

Visited here with the family. I had been there as a child probably 25 years ago. You are not able to go the whole way into the tunnel, but it is well worth the trip to go as far as they do let you. Parking...More
