    Must visit in Moray
Great place to visit with fantastic exhibits including flight simulators. volunteers have incredible knowledge and lots of fascinating stories. Thoroughly enjoyed learning about Al's personal experience of his escape from the 1980 nimrod crash, it was an honour to have him share his personal experience with me.

A great day out for all of the family young and old :)
We had a great day out at Morayvia Museum as a family of 4. The kids enjoyed being able to climb into various cockpits of various planes and helicopters. The experience was made even better by the gentlemen that were there to answer any questions whom were all very knowledgeable with some of them even have been the pilots of some of the exhibits! We came away with plenty of knowledge and memories of a good day out. Thank you to all at Morayvia Museum - The Mackay Family :)

Best aviation museum I've been to.
I can't recommend this museum enough. From the friendly welcome to the enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides, the staff make the experience what it is. The number and variety of exhibits surpassed any other aviation museum I've been to in the past, and it was just amazing being able to climb into so many cockpits for a closer look.

    Wow!...What an amazing experience.
My 12 and 10 year old sons have always been fascinated by aviation, so I was really excited to take them to Morayvia Museum in Kinloss, Scotland. The museum has a wide variety of aircraft on display, from vintage biplanes to modern fighter jets and the most impressive helicopter collection we have seen. My sons were particularly interested in the F-4 Phantom II and the Spitfire, which was one of the most famous fighter planes of World War II. They were able to learn a lot about the history of both aircraft and see them up close. The museum also not just allows, but encourages!! everyone to explore and climb into the cockpit of many of the planes, looking at the original dials and instrumentation up close. The staff at the museum were mainly ex-RAF members and they were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about aviation. They were happy to answer any questions my sons had and they really made the museum experience what is was. We spent a hours at Morayvia Museum and we didn't want to leave. It's a truly amazing place and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in aviation.

Under publicised first class aviation experience
Wow what an experience! The thing that really stands out here are the wonderful very knowledgeable volunteers who have a wealth of knowledge - now we’re talking Sea King and Red Arrow pilots here. Could have spoken to them all day. The planes and helicopters are brilliant - this isn’t your typical aviation museum as they let you sit in the cockpits. Really fantastic we spent over 3 hours here and could really have spent the whole day. 5 star recommended.

Morayvia. Wow what a day out!
Kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Morayvia. The facility is very well laid out, the exhibits are fantastic and the staff / volunteers could not have been more welcoming and knowledgeable. With a number of the volunteers being ex-service personnel local to the area they spent time with the kids and I explaining the various aircraft and the roles they played out of the local bases.

The best air museum experience in the UK!
What an amazing place! Thanks to the proximity to the RAF base at Forres, this old school has been turned into one of the best aviation museums I've ever been to. I met Peter, an ex pilot with the Red Arrows who can tell you how different it was to fly the Gnat to the modern Hawk aircraft. Tales of gliding in after a display because the fuel ran out! I met an engineer who flew with the Nimrod and can tell you all about the scary refuelling methods. The external display exhibits have been accumulated over many years and include 3 full size rescue helicopters. Even working out how to get to the pilots seat is a challenge, let alone doing it! The hall full of old aircraft engines culminates in the display of a Rolls Royce Olympus engine, as would have been used in Concorde. From start to finish, Morayvia covers so much history, with exhibits bought to life by the knowledgeable and experienced guides.

    Superb aviation centre.
We visited last week - it's quite astonishing to be talking to a chap who has offered to answer questions about the aircraft you're looking at, or in, and inevitably you ask what aircraft he flew. And he says "this one"! Absolutely fabulous experience, and we have to come back as we just didn't have enough time in the 2.5 hours we had. The stories these guys have to tell are just fantastic. And what they achieved is wonderful to hear about. An absolutely superb resource as a visitor attraction, a museum and as a learning resource. The Nimrod cockpit and fuselage exhibit is superb. When they manage to get the entire aircraft they own onto the site, that will be fabulous.

A great day out. Very interesting look back at the history of the RAF in Kinloss.
Fantastic day out to Moravia . Thank you Diane and Mark for your hospitality. A credit to you all and all the volunteers who give up there time to talk to you about there experiences in the RAF. The Sea King and Nimrod are my favourite ones for sure. A fantastic day out for the enthusiast and great family day out for the family.

Accessible, thrilling, friendly, fun, built with heart
Amazing! 5star experience, totaly dedicated staff, former pilots, always helpful and willing to share their stories! This attraction is built with heart and you can feel it! We have visited the museum with young boys (4 and 7yo) and they were overwhelmed with the opportunity to try everything, no restrictions and smiling veterans, very friendly and open to show them everything they wanted. Hats off, thank you for your dedication and hard work to keep this running!

An amazing place to visit, highly recommended. Lots of very interesting and well maintained exhibits but the highlight is the enthusiastic ex military volunteer staff who flew, crewed or maintained the aircraft and who bring the exhibits to life by sharing their knowledge, experiences and stories. If you are in the area it is a must see, if you’re not in the area then plan a trip there!

We had a lovely sunny day at Morayvia. Great to be able to visit on a Thursday during school holidays as we understand it is generally only open at the weekend.
Lots to see, touch and sit in! Plenty of exhibits to walk round and lots of volunteers to help answer our questions.
We also visited the planetarium which was really interesting.
We stayed for about 3.5hrs so it was really good value for the entry price. There is also a tuck shop for some treats/snacks and a hot drink machine but you are more than welcome to bring a picnic. There is a seating area inside and there are benches outside.
It was great to hear the stories from the volunteers, especially the pilots who seemed to push the rules on what they should be doing in the planes!
Thank you to the whole team for a very enjoyable day out.

Amazing museum, with a large no of aircraft available to go inside and look around. Very knowledgeable staff - of which most were ex RAF & RN pilots or navigators, all very friendly. Definitely recommend for anyone with n interest in aviation or history in general. One of the best I’ve been to.

Great interactive and educational trip out.

Volunteers are clearly very knowledgeable and dedicated, they were engaging and patient throughout.

Fantastic to see the aircraft so up close and read the history behind them.

The kids left very inspired around aviation and dad left very envious haha

Priced reasonably and worth a few hours in the afternoon to visit

Thank you!

So many things to see and do. Suitable for any age. Very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit and money. Will definitely be back for another visit. Was a great wee find!

We visited yesterday for the first time, with my son (9) and tonnage daughters (12,15). We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit, my son loved being able to climb in and sit in the pilot seats of the planes and helicopters. His favourite was being able to ‘pilot’ a Nimrod.
The staff are exceptional, so friendly and welcoming and answered our very many questions. They had so many interesting anecdotes about the planes, they were a delight.
We will definitely be back, so much to see and priced so reasonably.
A great day out.

Absolute hidden gem of an aviation museum. The amount of exhibits packed into a small space is truly amazing. From complete aircraft you can enter to every concievable aircraft part on display.
