Dropped by this attraction while staying overnight in Kadoka. It's just off interstate, so it's very easy to find. The outdoor portion has a large variety of large petrified wood. There is also an area where you can buy rough rock at a reasonable price....More

Unless you have kids or are really into rocks and things found in the badlands, you might not need to stop here. We are a family of 5 who happened to need a roadtrip break, and we had a rock-loving 7yo so of course we...More

My wife really LOVES petrified wood. I believe it's her favorite, so we definitely had to stop here since it was literally off of I-90 and was on the way home. The cost to view it was definitely cheap, so no complaints there. The overall...More

Excellent collection of petrified wood found in the South Dakota Black Hills area. The pieces have been transported to this site, so you cannot see where they were found but the collection is worth seeing for anyone fascinated by the wonders of our planet.
