This is an excellent place to bring kids who learn through hands-on experiences. Young and old will find much of interest in these well curated exhibits. Videos with Native American story telling, artifacts and historical photograph exhibits. An excellent gift shop and friendly, helpful staff.

Like other reviewers, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and content of this museum. It does a good job informing people of all ages (and even though we're seniors, we enjoyed some of the hands-on features!). I thought their information on geology was far...More

We visited the museum on a quiet week day. There were many interesting exhibits, but I felt many needed better signs and descriptions. No docents were in the exhibit area but the front desk person was able to answer questions. Perhaps our timing was poor....More

Staff was courteous and helpful. My mother was in a wheelchair and was well accommodated. The collections on exhibit were well presented. We were disappointed that the extra Native American displays were no longer available.

This is not a large museum and the exhibits are clearly marked but not overly "word-y". Two hours should be adequate if you move right along. But I must admit I spent ALOT of time looking at those items that had a past... More
