This old chateau has a beautiful gated entrance leading into well looked after gardens. The original church was damaged by fire and only the tower still stands. Inside the old kitchen is laid out to show the original positions of the ovens, fire place and storage. In the cellars they have wooden farming equipment is on display. This lead us... More

Fabulous location for the family wedding we attended from Scotland. The buildings were very interesting and the food was very good indeed.

OK - this all started at 10 in the morning but it was still great. Our tour group got to see a few medieval rooms of the chateau before we sampled a bit of the grape in the large cellars. Five different wines, along with bread to cleanse the palate, were served and explained. The staff is knowledgeable. Wine for... More

The individual and self guided tour costs 7.5 €, a wine tasting included. The castle breaths history and the owners go the extra mile to put their property in the spotlight. The charm and magic of the courtyard must have inspired Alphonse de Lamartine. The wine tasting afterwards is one of the best I had in the Mâcon region. I... More

For a romantic get away, the perfect place. Reserve the suite des comptes well in advance! We loved it all. The view, the decoration, the service, the wine tasting, all!

What a beautiful setting in the hills above the vineyards. A great picture taking opportunity. The Chateau is amazing. We had our wine tasting, one of our best on our trip through France, in the cellar of this beautiful building. Many of the rooms are decorated with the correct time period pieces. Very special tour for us, our entire group... More

A lovely day out. Parking was free just outside the Chateau. Entry cost 7.50 euro each per adult. We were given a sheet in English on our arrival showing us which parts to visit and then left to wander around. Within each room there were banners of information in both French and English. Lots of examples of weapons were on... More

We visited this chateau as a part of a South of France riverboat cruise, and had a lovely time there. The rolling hills of the countryside and this chateau are picturesque and present multiple photo opportunities. In our tour of the site, we viewed a hall of weapons, with hands-on availability, the dining room with huge fireplace, the grape intake... More

What a marvelous, interesting and beautiful chateau. Great wine. Well kept grounds. In every room something to keep the kids - future custody-occupied and interested. High standard and yet very friendly and informative. The bedrooms absolutely perfect.

Had a great time at the chateau, kids loved looking around and trying on the armour. Wine was lovely so treated myself to a few bottles!
