A fantastic museum not only about gold mining on Finland, but all over the world. Especially great in winter, as there are no mosquitoes to snack on you. Make sure to try gold panning yourself - it is great fun!

Kultamuseo in Tankavaara presents a good overview of the history of gold mining in Finland. It tell the tales of mining and miners who sought their fortune in Lappland. An extra bonus is an exhibition telling about goldmining around the world from Brazil to Indonesia.
