I had visited Lookout Mountain when I was 8 years old so I was excited to share this experience with my 7 and 4 year old grandsons. The experience did not disappoint. They totally enjoyed the hike through the beautiful rock gardens..

This location was a very pleasant surprise. From the lookout area you can see seven states that surround the area. There is also a very pleasant walkway that takes you around the whole area with different viewpoints of the area.

The place has an awesome view. Very popular attractions. Watch the crowed though. It has many nearby attractions including Ruby falls.

We wandered around the top of the Mountain, but most everything was closed because the Federal Government shut down. The Point Park and Incline were both closed. But it was still a pleasant time up there.

I found the surface uneven and so I had to walk almost entirely looking down. It is do-able, however. (I had a troublesome knee replacement 3 years ago.
