Fun but lots of walking

I enjoyed the sites from here. Very unique place to visit and there was a lot to see. We did not go through the entire park as it is vast, but I would definitely go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed the view and history of Lookout Mountain. The Fall leaves were just changing so we were treated to various colors in the area. There are several paved walking paths that make it an easy walk for most people. There were also a few signs that explained some of the history.

Great views of Chattanooga and surrounding area. This is linked with Ruby Falls so you can combine the two.

Enjoyed driving up and taking in the views. The park at the top of the mountain is historic and very interesting. Worth the price of admission just for the views.

The top of the mountain is a National Park with an amazing view and some old cannons and a very small fortification. There is a National Park Service gift shop and a privately owned gift shop right next to each other. Both have a small amount of historic information. At the top, there is no free parking. It is all... More

We are national park buffs and this was just going to be a quick stop for the passport stamp, however the view from Point Park kept us there for over 2 hours.

Not really much here after Ruby Falls, but worth checking out, since we were there for the Falls. A better view from Rock City, which we went to after this. We saw, we conquered and no longer wonder why all the signs are posted on the interstate! Good for a one time visit, but will probably go back when our... More

I had to cajole my traveling compadres to make a stop at Lookout Mountain -- they were pretty skeptical and assumed it would be a bit of a tourist trap. The tourist trappings are certainly available if you want them, but in this case we didn't feel like the commercialization detracted much from the beauty of the site. Given the... More

Gosh! There are just so many wonderful things that I could say about our visit to Rock City and Lookout Mountain. The experience is a beautiful and whimsical stroll (a easy hike--you can take your time) through a series of varying sceneries and designed settings until you reach beautiful Lookout Mountain. Here you can also have a bite to eat... More
