This is perfect for a stroll. Lots to do and see on both sides. Great when the weather is good. You can walk to the park, along the waterfront and visit museums.

Our family loves walking and downtown Chattanooga has a great riverfront walk/biking trail. The riverwalk is right in downtown Chattanooga by the aquarium. We took the walk up a slight bluff to a nice arts district. Next time we will rent bikes.

The river walk was beautiful. We were finding a geocache and capturing Munzees. Fun and easy walk. Saw lots of historical places.

It really is the main reason I moved here. I walk daily; usually 2x a week at the riverwalk. Whether you want to stroll around the bridge, green space, art district, and carousel, or do serious walking on the paths--this is the place. There are...More

Very easy greenway for biking. Only place with any steep climbs is near the Bluff View Art District. The entire greenway stays close enough to roads that if you need to hop off on a street in search of food or water it's close by....More

Yes, we feel very safe about walking around the riverwalk and to the walking bridge that goes over the river. There are some restaurants close to the riverwalk, but the majority we have found are on the main streets that... More
