A very nice place to see several impressive model railroads, some interactive. No admission fee. Also there are people there to answer questions.

We were walking thru the outlet mall and saw this model train sign. My husband walked pass but there were four men with their trains. Z is a tabletop train it is so small. The big ones were 15 to 20 inches in size. There were stores, mountains, houses, cars the funniest was a phone setup as a drive in... More

My husband and I were vacationing at Christmas at a nearby golf resort and found this model railroad exhibit in Crossville, TN using TripAdvisor. It was a great cold and rainy afternoon excursion, along with the down-home shopping mall where it is located (note: the mall has an impressive indoor golf driving facility). The volunteer guides there were lots of... More

Very fun with kids. It's free admission ( optional donation box)and run by mostly retirees. They also have a lot of buttons for kids to push to turn on lights, start trains, open doors, etc. Great place if you're staying in the area or just driving through and need a break close to rt 40.

My wife & I visited the train exhibit several years ago and quite enjoyed it. Just recently we took our 3 1/2 year old grandson who is fond of his toy trains at home. We stayed for about 3 hours and he was ecstatic! He marveled at all of the fantastic train layouts and also had a blast with Thomas... More

Perfect exhibit to bring children from 2 to 100 years old. Railroading in a microcosm and in a learning orientation.

One 'Stop' you will not regret. Many different RR train names with different types of cars and surroundings. I stopped just out of curiosity and now when ever I am in the area, I take the time to return to my days of old just watching and listing to the sounds of the rail giants. Take your children and grand... More

If you're traveling east/west across Tennessee and need a break for you or a child take exit 320 to a small outlet mall, and you'll find a store sized model railroad museum with five layouts in various scales. Children will appreciate the step up platforms for easy visibility and searching for Thomas. Several volunteers were on hand to answer questions.... More
