We enjoyed this area very much as one of our Battle of Franklin sites. It has some climbing of stairs to get to the overlook. There is a great map of the Battle sites imbedded in rock in the overlook and monuments honoring the fallen....More

A must see if your in Franklin. This site lays out the battle of Franklin and and explains how the battle was fought and the aftermath that followed. It's free and a nice place to spend an afternoon.

I would not put it up with the major battleships, so visit just for a picnic park or if you are really interested in delving into all the local battles of the civil war.

Great little park with memorials and a bronze relief map showing the battle of Franklin. At the top you can observe what the southern generals observed prior to the battle. A must if you're following the battle of Franklin Civil war "trail".
