I was working on a biology project about non-native species in our area and Ijams offers an entire educational area near the back pond on the subject. It was relaxing and pretty this morning. I always recommend carrying flashlight tasers or pepper spray for all females in all nature settings - children will not enjoy the longer trails so plan... More

About 15 minutes from downtown, and great to go out for a quiet walk. The river walk gives you some nice river views.

We only had a short amount of time to visit Ijams, but what we say we absolutely loved! So peaceful and very pretty! We took a mile walk along the wooden boardwalk and just really enjoyed the views and the ambience of the entire place. Can't wait to come back in the spring/summer when everything is green! What a wonderful... More

It is a beautiful place, especially in the Spring, to relax and enjoy nature. They have outdoor and indoor exhibits. They also have a hiking trail to enjoy the beauty of God.

Gorgeous setting -- many paths to walk/hike and these vary in length, difficulty. Spectacular views, hidden coves, wooden bridges. Scenic and pleasant, a must-do in the area.

We had a very good time with the granddaughters. We toured indoor nature exhibits. Look at the flowers around the buildings and the birds on display. The kids loved it. We did also. Then we took one of the trails that went down by the river. It was a little long for the 2 1/2 year old but the 6... More

Whether you want to take a nice hike up Tharp Trace, sit by the water at Meade's Quarry, rent a canoe and paddle around, wander the flat trails with your dog, take a nice run or enjoy the sights on the other side of the park - if you love the outdoors, you simply cannot have a bad time here.... The boardwalk is a beautiful place to walk. The water was pretty. The house across the river caught our attention because the roof looks destroyed. What is that place? My daughter loved walking so close to the quarry. She found a bunch of rocks while walking. We are from out of town but we'd go back to Ijams for sure... More
