The venue was nice, parking was easy, and the show was good. We saw Three Dog Night at the Tennessee Theatre a little over a year ago, and it was much better for sound. This auditorium is old, but it serves the purpose.

The Knoxville Civic Auditorium was built many, many decades ago, and it shows. My recommendation would be to tear it down and start over from scratch--in a more accessible location with restaurants, bars, and other ""before show" and after show" amenities nearby.

On Saturday May 6th we attended the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra's Pop Series with Blood, Sweat & Tears Concert featuring Bo Bice. Terrific acoustics, wonderful songs and a great evening for all!

Yes, most of the seats in the Civic Auditorium are wood but they are "sculpted" and comfortable. Good point and yes, a little updating would be nice. Not exactly sure but I think the seats at floor level have been improved... More
