Lovely place

The visitor center is nice to visit with good food. It is a shame that you must pay in to go down to the cliffs even if you do not want to spend time in the center.

One of the best visitor centres I have ever visited! Interesting naval and ship-wreck information. Stunning views from all angles! Well worth the trip.

Worth seeing and worth going to see: the Mizen Head Signal Station and Visitor Centre and Cliffs etc should be an essential part of any West Cork itinerary. The most south-westerly point in Ireland is now really accessible due to the work done in constructing the various walkways and bridges ... the old single station is interesting from the historical... Mizen Head is well worth a visit. Its the Southernmost and Westernmost part of Mainland Co Cork. West Cork is a really beautiful part of Ireland and the Mizen Head is worth a visit even just for itself. It would be about a two hour drive from Cork City and there are several ways to get there, best are ,... More

If you are in the area, the Mizen Head is well worth a visit. The scenery is of course stunning and you get a very close experience of the grandeur of the Atlantic. The old lighthouse is also well worth the entrance fee and gives a great insight into the challenges of living and working on this remote coast. Also... More

The weather was not the best but we decided to go anyway,so glad we did,we had such fun. The center was a mine of information, the walk over the footbridge was awesome! We sat up on the hill overlooking the sea, magical.

This small visitor centre, with a convenient cafe - no alcohol! - and loads of information about the history and botany/geology of the area is well worth a visit. You can walk, for a small fee, down to the old light house across magnificent bridge giving great views of rocks and seals.
