Hike across the field
Aug 2021
This natural wonder is amazing. You should put this into your Google Maps to see where it is. You have to hike cross country to get there. There is no path leading you to this place. About halfway up the path to Dun Aonghasa, climb over the rock wall and go across the fields following the place that your GPS shows. A natural wonder of how this rectangle was created. You will pass over rocky uneven terrain and have to climb small rock walls from time to time. Have fun and worth the trek.

Only ok

It's kind of cool but not really accessible. We came after visiting Dun Aonghasa and to be honest, it wasn't really worth it....

The amazing Worm hole
Aug 2021 • Family
When we went to the Worm Hole we very much enjoyed the scenery of this beautiful place. Though there is a sign on a rock saying “Worm hole 150m” which is not true since it is more like 300m. Overall the worm hole was a beautiful natural rock formation and quite spectacular. I would recommend this as a highlight of inis mor.

Amazing natural phenomenon. Very hard to find
Jul 2021 • Couples
Beautiful spot. It's such an unusual rock formation and lovely views from the cliffs nearby. However it's very very very hard to find. There is 1 single signpost by the lifeguard hut at the beach which leads you down a boreen. To access the track up to it you have to cross private property with barbed wire and keep out signs. Couldn't figure out any legal way to get there. Worth the trek but if you're running late for a ferry don't bother!

Definitely not swimming here
Jul 2021
Really worth walking the extra 1k from the road and taking the left hand path to approach the wormhole from the lower level rather than the cliff top. But unless you are a very strong and fit swimmer and with others - don’t jump in.

A little tricky to find but so worth the effort

Finding and following the red arrows that are spray painted onto the rocks and the side of the cliff can be tricky but when you reach the worm hole its simply amazing.

Amazing natural phenomenon! Although, hard to find, we had to walk through private property to find it!

My memento is a broken rib
Sep 2020 • Couples
This is a unique place BUT I think the danger of visiting is underestimated. Never walk here without walking boots. I slid in trainers on the damp rocks and spent 6 hours in A&E to discover that I'd broken a rib. It was, and is, agony.

I've read in other reviews here about people being swept out by waves and barely surviving. I'm not a fan of going overboard on health and safety but this place should carry a health warning. It should only be tackled on a dry, calm day, in pairs, and in walking boots. Go carefully!
