Beautiful location

Everything on Innis Oirr was beautiful. I fell in love with the island while learning traditional stonework from the locals. A nice walk through miles of ancient stone walls.

The smallest of the Aran islands. We took a horse drawn tour by a wonderful young man named Matthew. This is truly the best way to get a real sense of life on the island. He was able to give us the history of his home as well as "paint" a vivid picture of what growing up and living on... More

We cycled to the lighthouse and it was worth it for the beautiful views. The lighthouse is well-kept, but unfortunately you can't get close as it is on private property.

Great views along a beautiful shoreline on Inis Oirr. Views of the Cliffs of Moher weather permitting. A nice walk from the pier or easily accessed by local trap and pony sightseeing. A wonderful landmark on the island.

A really great walk in fine weather. The lighthouse is now automatic, but well worth the trek. It is really well maintained, and such a peaceful and tranquil place.

We had a lovely bike ride to the Inis Oirr lighthouse, it is very beautifully painted and has a lovely view of the Cliffs of Moher. (Note: The lighthouse is private property, so you cannot walk up inside the lighthouse, which was not a problem with us.)

The lighthouse on the far side of inis oirr was gorgeous -so well maintained but difficult enough trail to access-we had mountain bikes but could walk although paths up to it could be improved-think the ruggedness of the island is part of its charm. We were unable to access the lighthouse only look at it through gates.

The small island of Inisheer is wonderful - lots to see, several pubs and hotels. My group biked to the lighthouse only to find that it is not open to the public. The views from the beach around the lighthouse were awesome, but we were disappointed.

We suddenly spotted the lighthouse as we walked along the shore of Inis Oirr. We were able to walk along the shoreline as far as the gate of the lighthouse but a huge 'Keep out' sign - this is government property dissuaded up from going any further which was a pity as I would have love to visit a working...
