Lovely little harbor on the west coast of Ireland, not too far from Galway. Very picturesque, especially when the tide is out and the boats that are docked are resting on the muddy bottom!

Spent time relaxing whilst overlooking the harbour. Very quit harbour with little activity. Watched the crows find mussels and drop them in flight to break them open.

Kinvara is my favorite town in the west of Ireland. The harbour is a beautiful place for an evening or afternoon walk. There are benches and a view of Dungaire castle. Just watch out for the midges if it is a warm summer evening!

Kinvara sits are the head of a long bay off of Galway Bay, which gives it a quiet feel, with views of meadow-covered headlands on both sides, plus a up-close view of Dunguaire Castle. Not much hustle and bustle here; just some old boats and...More
