This Romanesque church is a bit out of the way, but it is worth a slight detour from Borris or Graiguenamanagh. The visit is worth it for the fine 12th-century Romanesque doorway. The church is built into the slope of the hill so the eastern...More

Ullard church is not Duiske Abbey. Duiske Abbey can be found in the centre of Graiguenamanagh, but Ullard church is a beautiful 12th century romanesque ruin a number of miles outside the town along the R705.

This magnificent church is in the centre of the town. Really historical and peaceful. It is in very good condition. A booklet outlining its history can be purchased for €3.50. It is unusual to see a church of this vintage so well preserved in Ireland
