Another great walk. I don't think I could ever be not interested when walking with Jersey Walk Adventures. the knowledge they have and pass on makes walking on a beach never the same again. I am looking forward to many more walks with them.More
Glad you had another great walk. We always find new things and even the light and weather each day is different so you never get bored exploring this remarkable place. A good reason to get out into teh winter air and tehn enjoy local oysters...More
My daughter and I did this walk on 29th October to Seymour tower, it was informative and a lovely afternoon out with my daughter , the lady guide was lovely and I would definitely recommend it! EmilyMore
Thank you, Emily. This is a great area to explore at low tide with lots to see and discover. Our family walks are designed children and are usually scheduled during the school holidays. Trudie is a very experienced guide who knows lots about the marine...More
Derek and Trudy were very informative, but never boring, and clearly have a lot of passion for their tours. Its hard to describe the bioluminescence tour as we had no idea what to expect and despite that it managed to exceeded any expectations we possibly...More
What a great walk this was with lots of bioluminescence visible. We are still enthtalled at the spakles and gloing at our feet as we explore the rocks and ponds at low tide.
An enjoyable and informative walk. A great way to learn about the natural history and local history. Would recommend this walk and the others offered.
Many thanks. This is a super area to explore. We enter what is tthe largest rocky inter-tidal area in Europe and always see lots of new things.
I loved this tour which lasted just over 3 hours. Learned a lot about the various seaweeds and sea life when tide is out, and also about the history of the area. I can thoroughly recommend this tour as something that must be done as...More
Glad you enjoyed the experience. This is a very special place and we are all visitors when the tide goes out and this huge expanse is revealed at low tide.
We had a clear evening, with a bright moon and plenty of stars, so we didn't expect to see bioluminescence. Splashing across a large pool, we were suddenly aware of sparkles and we were mesmerised by it! So fortunate. The sea was still pleasant enough...More
We were very fortunate to see so much bioluminescence on the "Moonwalk". Normally the moonlight is very bright and makes it hard to see the glowing creatures in the sands. It can often feel cooler once offhsore and at night so a few extra layers...More
The entire East coast of the Island (Jersey) from St Helier (Havre Des Pas to Gorey Harbour) is probably one of the rockiest and most dangerous coasts in the British Isles, so try not to be caught when walking and probing amongst the hundreds of...More
The south-east coast Ramsar wetlands site we explore on foot is best made with a local guide as the rising tides can catch people out if they are not familiar with our large tidal range. With local knowledge of the tides this area is a...More
Together with a nice couple from Scotland and the friendly and most thoroughly informed guide Trudi Trox we walked from Seymour Slip to the vast oyster banks, where we could even watch the hard work that can only be performed on low tide. The oysters...More
What a wonderful place to explore. Once we get away from the shore jersey looks very different and on a fine day, the Normandy coastline is visible. As well as being full of history this area is very much our bit of wilderness. Many thanks...More
Thoroughly informative and fulfilling walk between these two iconic landmarks. Looking out to the Towers from the shoreline doesn't do the terrain the justice it deserves, but the walk certainly does. To see the myriad of gullies and sandbanks and understand how they influence the...More
This walk is only possible on some of the lowest tides of the year so it is a very special walk. Both towers are very different and the terrain changes quite a lot as we walk between then on what is around a 6-mile walk....More
