Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was one of our favourite things on Jersey, so much so we went twice on our two week holiday. There is one large(ish) display greenhouse which was absolutely spectacular. I didn't realise orchids where so varied. There are also other amazing tropical plants with the orchids which make the displays exceptional. There is a viewing gallery to see the three smaller cultivating greenhouses. Stunning place which I highly recommend.

Although the display was stunning and very well presented, I was upset there wasn't a shop to purchase plants and orchid-related paraphernalia.

This was a complete surprise and a beautiful visit. The greenhouse is full of lovely blooms, set out in a superb setting and the information is extensive, accessible and most fascinating. The reception was welcoming and told us a great deal more about things and there are good places to sit and enjoy a coffee in the stunning building.Do go!!

We stopped off here when we had an hour before our flight and it was lovely. I never knew how varied orchids are and the rest of the garden is amazing. There is a nice outdoor garden for a picnic if you’d like to stay for lunch and spend a bit longer. The area is lovely and I’d like to spend longer exploring next time.

The orchids are indeed beautiful and complemented by supporting plants. The area of interest however, is very limited and it does not take very long at all to get around. No information provided, at least we received or saw none, other than the orchids’ names and we were told to just follow our noses. Very poor value.

Congratulations to all concerned for another Chelsea Flower Show Gold medal . Certainly well deserved based on the amazing selection of beautiful orchids we saw when we visited you recently. Gardeners & non gardeners alike will not fail to be blown aware by the sheer riot of colour, the different varieties and scents of your amazing displays. A must see for anyone holidaying in Jersey.

We arrived by bus and it's a short walk from where you are dropped off. The buses are extremely infrequent and an hour will allow plenty of time for you to walk to and from the foundation from the bus stop as well as round the orchids. The admission is £6.50 (for adults) and we think that's great value for money and enjoyed the beautiful abundance of orchids. The only sad thing is there isn't much to buy as souvenirs.

Absolutely fantastic place to visit and admire the many flowers on show. Rare and endangered species on display, most enjoyable couple of hours. We would have happily spent more time but could not.

We visited here on the day we arrived on Jersey. The Foundation is well signposted and has a good sized car park. There is a little seating area where I had a cuppa while my wife did a second circuit of the orchid area.
The staff are friendly and the orchids are amazing plants in a brilliant setting. They really are awe inspiring and beautiful to look at, even as someone who is ignorant of plants. There's info on different home regions and growing requirements in the nursery area. Entry was £6.50 which was well worth it.

We've been to Jersey many times so were really taken aback that we'd never heard of it before. We both love plants and it really was the highlight of our trip last May. We were even lucky enough to meet one of the Trustees, by chance, who was extremely kind and showed us many different kinds of orchids. It was a little bit difficult to get to as we didn't have a car - but definitely worth it. A real hidden gem.

Is it possible to the foundation from Saint Helier by bus? We don't want to rent a car.

It's an easy drive and is signposted. If you pick up a leaflet from your hotel or Tourist Info, there is a map on it.
