Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful bay ( not as open or large as some of the photos suggest ) very pretty and with beautiful rock formations either side . Some great restaurants and fabulous tearoom ( not so pretty from outside but fabulous homemade cake selection of excellent quality) great little chip shop and wonderful fine white sand beach for families. We loved our stroll ( even on a gusty day) along the seafront and would definitely recommend a visit.

We having visitors to Guernsey for more than 30: years.
We consider this beach to be quintessential a 'Guernsey beach'. Sweeping sands, little bays, lots of rocks pools.
Out the way of the north and easterly winds.
It’s one of our favourites.

Very wide rugged bay, nice sands in parts, plenty of rock pools to explore, depends on which part of the bay you park.
Also has a disused coastal defence fort which you can walk onto

Cannot comment on the swimming, but for walking this is a great bay with a large expanse of sand.
There is a car park at the northern end or the circular No 41 and 92 busses run the length of it.
The mid section has some amenities such as a small supermarket and fish and chip shop as well as a restaurant pub and hotel, but booking is essential if you want to eat in these during the tourist months.
My only complaint was that it was lacking in really good stones to play skimmers, but that’s about it on the negatives front.

We loved watching the change of the tides. Lots of swimmers as the tide was coming in and lots of little kids during low tide. Gorgeous sunsets

Clear water, safe swimming. Interesting rocks to explore when tide goes out. Nice kiosk. Super clean. Shop just across the road which sells caps, chairs, buckets etc and reasonably priced. Sadly chip shop was closed but the Iceland shop sells sandwiches and drinks so everything near .

We were fortunate to have chosen accommodation on Cobo Bay for a week's stay. Guernsey has many delightful bays, but to be able to stay on the sea front, with beautiful changing views as the tides changed and the lovely sunsets just made our holiday perfect.
This is a popular beach for swimmers and we say canoes and SUP activities as well. There is a good choice of places to eat (and drink!) close to the beach and easy parking at the southern end.

Several Guests at the Hotel recommended that we should go and see the Cobo Bay, so we drove there, unfortunately during very low tide, so there was not very much to see, but nevertheless a nice and scenic drive! Some people said we should have gone during sunset, apparently they have spectacular sunsets if you have the time and the weather plays along.

Leave your car in the Rockmount car park, then take a bracing walk along the lovely sandy beach to work up an appetite. We left our shoes by the steps onto the beach and of course they were there waiting for us when we returned!
Obviously not a place to walk on a wet day but when the sun is full and the sky is blue, it's great!
