If you ever get the chance then go - go to walk, swim, paddle, eat, sleep, BBQ, surf, kite-surf, kite, frisbee, chat, read, breathe, dream, anything, just go. OK - the downside - the drive to the beach from Bantham roundabout can seem like the longest 3 miles ever - but these are country miles - remember they are longer... More

Lovely beach, nice, clean and picturesque. The car park at Bantham is £3.50 per car all day. Large good size car park with good access to the beach for all abilities. There toilets at the car park. There's lots of picnic tables in the car park (don't worry it doesn't feel like sitting in the middle of a car park)... More

Lovely beach with lots of parking. £3.50 to park and there are toilets and a food van in the car park. You have to climb over the sand dunes to get to the beach. The beach is huge when the tide is out - stretches all the way across to bigbury. It's a great surf beach and there are lifeguards... More

Visited to do some surfing (well my son went in!). Beach is beautiful and unspoiled. Great to have a dog friendly part of the beach because dogs love beaches too!! Very clean and well looked after. Beautiful scenery and great views over to Bigbury.

A great beach. With plenty of parking. Can swim in the sea or the river but be careful of the top tide between Bantham and Bigbury beach. RNLI in attendance during the summer months. Great cliff walk from Bantham to Hope Cove or to Aveton Gifford.

Our family have been visiting Bantham for over 40 years all the year round and I am now privileged to be living within a few miles of this unique and unspoilt beach and village. Unfortunately the new owner wants to build an exclusive beach club by the car park, an underground car park, executive homes, and install car park barriers... More

Bantham Beach is a great beach winter or summer, rain or shine. Dogs are allowed at Bantham all year round, and in the winter months this includes the main beach. Our dog loves to zoom around, have a swim and then we enjoy a good walk around the headland. I highly recommend a drink/food in the Sloop Inn just up... More

One of the best beaches in South Devon. Lovely big sandy beach with plenty of parking (fees apply). Great views across to Burgh Island and lifeguards for extra piece of mind.
