One of the most picturesque parts of Devon. The beach is made of soft, golden sand and there are beautiful views across to the tidal island of Burgh. The beach has lifeguards from the RNLI, and there is plenty of car parking. The only downside...More

We parked just out of town and walked in. The beach is quite extensive especially at low tide when you can walk across to Burgh Island. It is dog friendly and our dogs really enjoyed swimming in the sea and playing on the sands. The...More

What a lovely place this is. Car park good but difficult to get to down the usual twisty tiny Devon roads. Bad points are that the council bins are overflowing which the seagulls pull all the bags apart so food waste strewn everywhere! Very unpleasant.

We went to Bigbury yesterday, there were 5 of us in the party, the beach was spotlessly clean, nice to see lifeguards on guard and they were helpful. What really made it was the little mobile refreshment stand on the beach, reasonably priced and really...More

Visited this beach on a rather dismal day but what a beautiful beach it is, get there as the tide is going out and you have miles of gorgeous dog friendly beach to walk on , explore the rocks and enjoy the breathtaking sea view.

Bigbury Bay overlooks Burgh Island. The cove is down very narrow Lane and single tracks. It is well worth a visit. The sand and sea are very clean. It is a lovely place for a family holiday or a day out.

Yes but it is restricted and weather dependant. Mainly there for hotel guests so you might not get a ride if wanting to walk round island.
