Excellent walk at low tide even though bracing into the February breeze added a big chill to our saunter. When you are with warm friends though, you soon focus on the fact there in nothing between you and the USA but the Atlantic. Good amenities, lots of parking wide open space to daydream and search the sands for any buried... More

Lovely in summer and winter, always clean and miles to walk and roam. A firm favourite of mine and always somewhere I will return!

While visiting with family in the UK last week we booked 5 days at Saunton Sands Beach Villas and was pleasantly surprised by our experience. Beautiful beaches, sand dunes, walking trails and probably over 100 surfers! This is a cute little bay and town (Brauton)near bythat... More

Wonderful bracing walk for a mile or so. Dozens of people walking although pretty fresh. Lots of people with dogs, Some with large parachute Kites and a few brave souls surfing. Stimulating and beautiful.

I always run everyday on this beach when I stay and it's clean, beautiful and good running terrain. A 5.5 mile run from the start takes you just round the top and then back again taking in all the dramatic coastline and views of the dunes. The dog walkers were the friendliest I have ever met on a run too.

Huge stretch of beach which is backed up by the Braunton Burrows area of natural beauty behind. Little theer except the huge hotel at the top and a small beach shop and café etc at the bottom. A very traditional beach with golden sand un disturbed by slot machines and shops selling tat!

Wonderful sandy beaches that seem to go on for ever. Very large car park and the usual shops and food outlets. Very bracing but quiet, which is usual for the winter months.
