What a wonderful facility for Brixham....who knew it had a theatre.
We have enjoyed two excellent visits recently ...Three men in a boat, and Into the breach, and look forward to many more. Its refreshing to have theatre rather than tribute bands
Just dont come expecting a posh interior, rather come and enjoy its antiquity.
There is a bar (drinks can be taken to your seat)and interval drinks can be ordered.
Interval Ice cream is also available.
My only concern is the location of the ticket reading....why this is done on a landing, and not at the auditorium entrance.Having taken the lift to the theatre ,(to avoid the stairs) one is then told to go down stairs to the lower landing to have your ticket scanned, from whence you have to climb stairs back up. WHY ?? Please scan tickets an entrance to the theatre, this way catching both lift and stairs passengers ,

Well run, friendly staff and beautiful little venue. We are lucky to live in Brixham and have visited the theatre for a number of tribute bands.
The staff are fantastic, so friendly and cheerful.
The small bar area is well run and you are able to order interval drinks to be waiting for you.
Theatre is quaint and atmospheric and always a great atmosphere. So lucky to have this in Brixham

First visit to this theatre, staff were brilliant meeting and greeting ensuring those with a disability or pram were pointed to the lift, the theatre is upstairs and there are quite a few steps to climb.
Once inside it is like taking a step back in time and the bucket seats are so low it felt like i was going to hit the ground, so we all sat on our coats to give us a bit of height.
The panto was fantastic hats off to Hot Rock Productions, what brilliant writing and the acting was superb!
Benjamyn Long you were outstanding as Billy, how you mastered those lines and tongue twisters, the delivery was just incredible you had us all in fits of laughter.
Break time we had ice cream and at £2 a pot was cheap and delicious and again the staff were on hand, hats off to you all.
When the show finished you could meet the cast, we left and again the staff were on hand to make sure all went smoothly and we were asked if we had enjoyed ourselves, which we responded with, "Oh yes we did!" LOL.
The staff were so friendly, almost like family, everyone was offered a programme of events for future shows.
Toilets are downstairs, booking office at the top of the first flight of stairs, theatre one more climb up.
Ticket prices were cheap compared to bigger theatres and the acting was just as good if not better than the larger theatre productions.
Our visit was given a ten out of ten, thumbs up and five stars, so we will be back and we would highly recommend this little gem of a theatre.

We were visiting Brixham for a few days and saw the theatre was staging a murder/mystery/whodunnit play. Booked on line for the evening performance.

There is a pleasant, small, bar area on the first floor, with the auditorium on the second.

Seating was comfortable and all the audience (many regulars from what I could gather) enjoyed the performance.

The plot about "whodunnit" was rather too complicated for me - but three people were successful - and a prize was awarded.

A pleasant evening's entertainment.

We went to see Whitesnake UK this evening, they were fab!
Brixham Theatre is a lovely old building and we were given a warm welcome upon arriving. They have a bar area which also serves tea and coffee. The auditorium is lovely, it’s up a few flights of stairs but there is also lift access.
All the staff were lovely, they are all volunteers and very passionate about the theatre and dedicated.
I would recommend this venue.

Arriving at the theatre and being greeted by a very cheerful doorman, the evening began with a quick drink in the bar and then into the seating area. The show was a mixture of acts, from soloist's through to a comedian, a guitarist, violinist and finishing with a heavy metal group. All in all the show was a complete success even though it was an amateur production and put on to promote the theatre under it's new management team.
