This was such a good belated Christmas present! My family and my brother’s family hired the whole boat and went on the 2 hour trip.
It was worth every penny!
Firstly, the wildlife we saw was breathtaking - some highlights were a basking seal, porpoises, diving gannets the sunset and a beautiful common dolphin (very different from the bottlenosed ones you see in tourist attractions).

Secondly, Simon the guide was so informative and friendly, and his jokes were even funny sometimes! His passion was infectious, and his love for nature was so evident, we were all really glad we picked him to give us a tour and didn’t go with the more commercial companies. The skipper, Sean, was the best as well, he showed real care for the wildlife.

Thirdly, most of the money goes to charity to help with sea conservation, so you feel you are not only having a great time, but investing in the future of our world at the same time!

So all 6 kids plus us 4 adults have been inspired now to be sea-life ambassadors! I would highly recommend these tours to anyone who truly cares about wildlife.

Best evening I have had in years! I have only seen dolphins from a distance before and we had a great trip seeing many pods of dolphins and some which came very close to the boat. We also saw harbour porpoises, as well as gannets and shearwaters. Bea was very knowledgable and enthusiastic and made sure we all got the most out of the trip, as did Sean who was in charge of the boat. It was great being out in a smaller boat with just a small number on board. This meant we could move around and see everything and had personal attention. I felt much happier knowing that the trip was conservation orientated and that the wildlife would not be affected by our trip. I will definitely be booking again!

We did the 4 hour trip with our 8 year old son. Our son was nervous about being on a boat at the start of the trip and Simon was fantastic at checking he was ok and talking to him to distract him. Our son soon lost his nerves and enjoyed the trip - he immediately told us he wants to do the trip again. Simon was great at sharing interesting information suitable for the adults and separately for our 8 year old. Having only 9 people on the trip (plus Simon and Shaun) was a big positive - much nicer than other trips we’ve done on bigger boats. We saw harbour porpoises, common dolphins, gannets, cormorants and 21 seals on one rock (plus one in Brixham harbour). We will definitely be booking to do the same again next time we’re in the area.

Simon was so knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. We saw a pod of common dolphins swimming with their young which was amazing. They are dedicated to conservation and respect the wildlife and their habitat. A wonderful tour around Berry Head, would recommend!

Simon and the skipper were so knowledgeable about the area, and we were so pleased to take a tour with them! We had three generations on this tour, from 5 yo to almost 70, and all had an equally lovely time. Of course, one can never predict nature and it isn't guaranteed that you will see anything, but luckily we saw several dolphins, jellyfish, many birds, and a seal sunbathing!

We felt good knowing that this operator is certified from Wise and that we would do no harm to any wildlife by taking this tour. We learned a lot and will definitely be back!

Fantastic evening trip. We saw dozens of dolphins, some of whom made close passes to the boat and some who were feeding a little further away. We saw dolphins in a hurry evidently chasing fish, but the guide Simon was careful to explain that we wouldn’t pursue them as it could be detrimental to them. We had plenty of others near us including some tiny calves. Simon explained how the mother adapted her swimming and breathing to accommodate her infant.
This is a truly conservation focused tour, and Simon was inspiring in his knowledge and involvement in local initiatives such as restoration of sea grass, which ultimately helps the wildlife and humans. The skipper maneuvered the boat with great sensitivity to the dolphins.
We spent much time with the engine off just watching the dolphins all around us. It was magical.

What a truly fabulous marine wildlife safari with Sea-Life Conservation Tours. Simon and his team are not only the most welcoming host but are true ambassadors for the marine wildlife of Torbay and the cetacean and seal populations in particular. Whilst Torbay on a mild summer’s evening looked spectacular, the many dolphins we spotted, including juveniles and mothers with their calves were an absolutely mesmerising sight. Simon has a wealth of information and experience to pass on and his passion for ocean and marine life conservation is inspiring. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sea-Life Conservation Tours and I will certainly join another trip in the near future.

We saw A LOT of dolphins. Added bonuses are the personal touch, the expertise of the crew and the conservation-based approach. Highly recommended.
