Have visited here 3/4 times now and it amazes me every time. Visit here with my husband and two children aged 12 & 7. It is a destination all about the views and therefore best to go on a clear bright topic day. There is a small cafe there which is good for a tea or coffee, but prices can... More

Six of us walked up here from the Berry Head hotel on Sunday morning, after a wonderful night eating and dancing at the hotel. It was cold and blustery but so beautiful. Although a grey morning, we were lucky enough to see the sun as we arrived at the top of the headland. The views are stunning. A must visit... More

Six of us walked up from Berry Head Road, through the trees. The trees sheltered us from the wind. But once at the top and exposed on the head boy did it blow. Wonderful views across to Portland Bill on a clear day. There's Napoleonic history, cafe and hides for bird watching. Well worth the short walk. A must for... More

Great walking with a good headland where you can look out to the sea and see dolphins as well as various fishing boats. Cafe nearby is good too and worth a visit. Lighthouse is on Berry Head but you can't get access to it. Would be good for long dog walks (on a lead)

A beautiful place that you simply have to visit if you are in Brixham. Lots of great walks, lovely volunteers who are willing to answer any questions and amazing views of the bay. Very dog friendly and the kids love it too.

Never get bored of visiting Berry Head and enjoying a pleasant walk in beautiful surroundings. The views are breathtaking allowing time to truly study the area and appreciate its natural beauty. The Guardhouse coffee has unique charm and the walks offer scientific as well as geographical and historical interest.

Despite poor signposting and less than adequate road access, this is a journey well worth making.. Initially driving south we missed it, but then then found it on the return leg. The final mile or so is along a very twisty and narrow road to the (paying) car park. The walk into the site is gently uphill and along tracks.... More

walking, birdwatching and generally enjoying the views, a good place to relax. The car park is half price in winter, we paid £2 for 4 hours. There's a very good cafe within the northern fort. The whole area is quite large so allow plenty of time if the weather is good

Having visited Berry Head many times over the past years I can say what a wonderful place this is to walk and explore at any time of the year. The views are truly spectacular, there are toilets available, long and short walks from Berry Head available, car parking and a decent dog friendly cafe. The area is full of history... More
