    FANTASTIC!
Approx. 30 of us visited the Estate on a ‘summer works outing’ recently and it’s safe to say the evening was a huge success. We received a warm welcome by all the staff, a brilliantly informative vineyard tour by Alex followed by an array of wines at the tasting session. The light & airy restaurant provided a wonderful setting to eat the BBQ provided which consisted of meats bought from local producers and fruits/vegetables grown on the estate. I think it was probably the best burger I’ve had! All the wines that we tasted were delicious and it was difficult to choose a favourite. All in all, we had a fantastic evening. Thank you to Caroline, Lance, Jonathan, Alex, Amy and staff. (Just a note – the lane leading to the vineyard is very narrow. If you attend with a group by minibus, the maximum size would be a 16-seater)!

Everything perfect for a lovely lunch
The staff at Calancombe Estate went out of their way to create a wonderful experience even accommodating a special meal for a diner with a strict dietary regime. Food was exceptional - the best Iberico ham I have eaten since tasting it in Spain, innovative small plates that were far from small - all enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff who looked after us were delightful, talking to us about the wine made on the estate. Travelling there was quite an adventure… but well worth it.

    Fantastic Day
A windy drab day in April probably not the best time tramp around the vineyards in the mud. However we had a brilliant day on the "Grand Tour" We were welcomed from the minute we arrived in the car park to the minute we left. The owners & all the staff spoke to us ensuring we were looked after. The tour was very interesting, the wine tasting was great and the charcuterie board..oh my word absolutely amazing. Highly recommend a visit We will back !

    Impressive winery.
I made the mistake of booking a self-guided tour which included a wine flight. I must admit I’m not a fan of the self-guided tour and have never seen it at any other winery. I’d rather have a guide talk the group through the tour. However, the wines were lovely and so was the English charcuterie and bread. Very impressive place.

    Self guided tour & tasting
From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed, with a special shout out to Jonathon who went above and beyond and really made our experience a day to remember. We were lucky with the weather and the vineyard walk and views were incredible - a real hidden gem in the valley! All rounded off beautifully with the wines - which were plentiful and delicious!! Highly recommend and already looking forward to our next visit!

    Brilliant lunch amazing wine
First class experience Exceed every expectation, lunch for 4 without a booking. Amazing welcome and the chef talked us through the menu and checked in with us afterwards. We will definitely return before our vacation finishes, indeed return after the vacation too

We had a fantastic meal at Calancombe with friends and we’re lucky enough to have the whole restaurant to ourselves. We had fantastic and attentive service. The Calancombe fizz was a delight with our starters and the main courses were superb, I had a cassoulet and my partner the lamb cutlets. The chef came out and chatted to us about the locally sourced produce and then expertly guided us through the cheese trolley, what an absolute treat. We loved the whole experience and will definitely return.

Went for dinner as a group, it is a change in terms of venue but the food was overpriced and charging £5.00 for a serving of potatoes which you would expect to be part of a meal is wrong. it could explain why they are offering a 10% discount in July! £30 for a thin steak covered in leaves that literally covered it and no vegetables is going to make us think twice about returning for dinner.

An exceptional dining experience. As vegans they went above & beyond, with extra special service from both the dining staff and chef. Food beautifully prepared, with real thought gone into each dish along with lovely wine, in a stunning, peaceful Countryside setting.

Lovely location. Friendly and helpful staff. Some confusion over wine tour, tasting and lunch. Paid £55 per person which included short tour, tasting of 5 wines and charcuterie as lunch. Not what I would call lunch

We had the most fantastic wine tasting experience today. Jess our ‘guide’ was knowledgable, considerate and friendly throughout the tour of the vines and winery. As for the tasting. Delicious selection of wines with helpful tips and advice by Caroline (one of the owners). Lunch was very tasty with local produce and fayre made by the lovely Wendy. Even had a quick lesson in the intricacies of gin making by Lance (owner also)
From the beginning to the very end we were made to feel very welcome. Very strong team delivering quality throughout.
We hope to come back to try out gin workshop.

Just had a terrific tour, tasting and lunch at Calancombe Estate, despite the somewhat inclement weather! Shout out to our guide Amy, who was knowledgeable, informative and most helpful! Tucked away location. We will be spreading the word and bringing family and friends back in due course!!
