Battles for Chattanooga Electric Map and Museum is located on top of Lookout Mountain across the street from the entrance to Point Park. It is NOT affiliated with the National Park Service who has a visitors center next door for Point Park as part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Battlefield. It is actually affiliated with Rock City which is... More

This is a very informative way to actually have the battle brought to life, The front is the gift store and you would pay to see the diorama and the movie. For those who consider it a over rated and overly priced venue, my suggestion is not to partake. For those who enjoy Civil War History and especially those who... More

This was very expensive for what it was, but provided a good visual history lesson for my family of the importance this area played in the Civil War. I would recommend the free visitors center next door but it is not very well marked. The visitors center also has a movie and can give you some historical information of the... More

It was interesting, but a bit pricey to see diagram and movie. But it did put it in perspective . Was very informative.

Yeah...we didn't know that the Battles for Chattanooga was a small theatre where you sat there and looked at a huge map with a short movie in the background...we were a little let down...luckily, I like history and I learned some things, so it was not a total let down!!

We really found the interactive map very helpful in understanding the battles around Chattanooga although the people next door at the Park Service office/store were much better at explaining the battle above the clouds. You really need to do both.

I took my 9 year old son here on a Saturday in March because we were hanging out in point park killing time. The employees were super super nice. Its pricey for what it is though. Shows run about every 15 minutes. Its a small theater and has a big map and movies and lights show and tell all about... More

we bought the tickets online thinking that this also included the entrance to the actual park itself. we were told at the counter that it was only for a movie and the museum. We asked for a refund and was told by a very rude employee no refunds. a free museum is next door.

The movie offered tells about the Battle for Missionary Mountain and surrounding Civil War battles. The gift shop offers lots of different items. Great for history buff.

Engaging for children as well as adults, helped orient us to the history of this area. Movie footage complemented with color-coded lights on a huge map showing where the action occurred.
