This was our second visit to St Michael and All Angels and was as interesting as the first visit several years ago. Built by French and American prisoners of war (Napoleonic and 1812), the craftsmanship is breathtaking but to me more breathtaking is this is...More

How refreshing to find a church whose doors were unlocked during the day. The church was empty and very peaceful. We looked around at our leisure and had time to sit and reflect on things. Very pretty to look at outside and a well kept...More

There was a lot to read about and things I didn't know and I live in the village. The church yard is also very interesting. A very peaceful church but very cold.

We stopped by for about 10 minutes before a tour we booked in the morning. The church is well maintained and pretty, and the cemetery outside gives an indication about just how old and how much history there is here. The church is something you...More

When visiting this Church be sure to look at the books with the detailed war service history of some of the local people. A project into which someone has put a lot of time. Well tended graveyard appears to still be in use.
