    Disappointed
Visited this place as a family car park was full so was the side of the building a strip Of grass which was full , in the end we parked on the end of the end space it was too full! My granddaughter enjoyed some of the activities but very little supervision on any of the attractions! Lunch was another story we ordered jacket potatoes and waited for an hour and a half when they eventually arrived they were lukewarm we only ate them because bt this time we were very hungry!! Expensive also!! The restaurant needs to be run by experienced people who know what their doing! So many people were complaining it was a shambles!! The lady in front of me asked for a slice of rainbow cake when the staff served it it was still frozen in the middle so she refused it! Certainly wouldn’t return unless the staff levels were sorted! The animals were great the best part of the day
Hi. I'm sorry you had a disappointing experience. You clearly visited on the day that we had problems in the Restaurant. I can only apologise as this was a technical error that caused ongoing issues that day. I'm glad to say these have been rectified and normal service has now been resumed. If you were to come again, I'm sure you would have a very different experience.

DO NOT BOOK A PARTY HERE
I've just returned from my niece's birthday party here and, from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. The woman complained she bad a bad back and needed to sit down to sort our booking, which took a very long time for a prebooked party. Then, suddenly, we were frogmarched across the place - despite the fact half the group were toddlers, and the rest contained elderly and disabled family. We were taken to a dirty and potentially dangerous shed for our "party". No decorations, nothing to celebrate a birthday. It wasn't even set up, the tables and chairs still arranged for school visits. Deer train and attractions were good (we had all been before so knew what we had to enjoy), and the food staff, hearing our disappointment about our shed, tried to make our stay a little more enjoyable. They brought the adults food over with the children, and kept checking we were okay. When a burger came out unsatisfactory, swinming in grease, they refunded instantly. It is them that earn the one star. One food staff tried to contact the manager to pass on our disgust. He was unreachable. When we finally managed to speak to him at the end of the day, he made out it was our fault for not bringing our disappointment to his attention earlier! No apology, not even an acknowledgement of the sh*t show he'd given us! My sister left in tears, and we're all just glad my niece was 3 and not 13, otherwise it would have been a different response from her too. She's currently easily swayed by a slide and trains. We were aware another party was booked on the same day, a mistake they made but did nothing to compensate for. The other party was in the pirate barn, in the centre of the attraction, and well decorated with ballons and banners. All we got was dead moths and a rambleshackled shed out the way. Disgusting.
The room that was allocated was not our normal party area and despite this being explained, I don't think, barring a full refund, you would have been satisfied. The fact that you stayed virtually all day (10.30 to 5) tells me that there must have been something that you and the children enjoyed.

    Uneducated Staff
The Animal staff and "Supervisor" of animals didn't seem to have any idea of what they were doing, when asked questions they couldn't really give me any details or answers, they just said I'm not sure and gave a very guessed short answer. The animals also looked dirty, a lot of their drinkers and the animal waters were dirty and the bottles in the nursery had green algae in them! Didn't see many staff up by the animals, when I did it was just them standing around in groups chatting, not attending or cleaning any animals. All on their phones! Not a good impression. The rest of the day out was amazing, little hiccup on the food side, burgers were dripping with grease but the Deer Train was good fun and the Birds of Prey was amazing! Lots of things to see and do, but I think some of the staff let it down.
What sort of questions did you want answers to? I am very surprised by your comments, as all our staff are very well acquainted with the animals and know everything they need to know about their care. They are all qualified in Animal Care and there are daily routines in place to ensure that all the animals are cared for properly. The pens are cleaned out on a regular rotational basis, and the feeding bottles and drinkers are cleaned daily. I'm very glad you enjoyed the rest of your day and hope that you feel inclined to visit again sometime. Please feel free to come back to me if you would like some specific information about the animals.

We visited during our stay at Devon Cliffs. I enjoyed walking with the goats Flapjack and Flora. I loved the three little gerbils as I have some myself. It was adorable to see Snap up close and even touch two retired ferrets!!

First time visiting and LOVED it! There’s so much to do that we didn’t even get to it all!. The kids loved all the play equipment, loved feeding the animals and the deer train was a massive hit!.
There was even free face painting & trials for the kids to find things to get a prize. You even have little musuem bits to look round.

Back home we have a place called puxton park which is such a poor imitation of this place. Country life is well worth the money!

We had never been here before so we didn't really know what to expect. We loved the little old fashioned street area which we looked around before going out to the animals. The children enjoyed the outside area with the bouncy castle, there is also an area with slides.
There is a list of what's happening that day which we found very helpful and where on the site each thing was happening, who knew that you could walk a goat on a lead?.
We paid £2 pp extra to feed the deer on the deer train this was a fab experience and we were able to buy food for the goats as well, the children loved hand feeding the animals there is also lots of hand washing facilities and toilets throughout the area.
All around fabulous day and we would love to visit again as there is lots to do for all ages.

It's all about keeping the children busy and active. The various activities are reasonably short, so that they can experience everything we have to offer. In the meantime, there is plenty of opportunity for the parents or grandparents to sit back and relax if they wish, knowing full well that their children are safe and enjoying themselves. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and we hope to see you again sometime.

A superb day at World of Country Life with the added bonus of a car show! It poured with rain but it was great. The staff on the deer train gave us a bin bag for putting on the wet seat, and the deer and alpacas were soaked BUT it was lovely to get close and to feed them.
Our lunch was in Farmer Lees food barn and it was super, well worth the money. The serving staff were friendly and considering the rain the place was clean, dry and well stocked.
The ferret racing was great...Scotland won ( M. LE feret). The compere was very compitent, and great with the children watching too.
The cars were great, as a Ford fan I was very impressed.
Overall a very wet day was turned into a magical day...well done to all!

Many thanks. We haven't seen rain like that in a while, but, as you say, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves despite the weather. The organisers of the car show did an amazing job in getting so many cars to be displayed in such terrible conditions. We usually have double the number of cars on show, so come back next year and hopefully, see us in the sunshine!!

Visited whilst in sandy bay. There is free parking and facilities onsite. Alot for the little ones to see with plenty of farm animals.

Thank you Ray. There's also a lot for the parents and grandparents to enjoy too, with the vintage vehicles and motorbikes and the Memory Lane. There's plenty of undercover areas if the weather isn't so good as well. See you again soon hopefully.
