We discovered Stuart Line in May and have now completed four cruises (no, we don't live in Exmouth!). Apart from anything else the trips are not expensive and a lovely way to spend a few hours. We took the Exeter canal cruise from Exmouth to Exeter; very interesting, the staff are great, the drinks very reasonably priced and we were lucky with the weather. Looking forward to our next trip.

Wantedto do a cruise while we were down and chose the Exe river cruise to Topsham and the train back. Nice clean boat and young but professional crew who were very helpful. Good running commentary and drinks available brought to you by the staff. Catching the train back was nice and quick, but there is the option of staying on the boat and doing a longer trip with Exmouth return by boat. Very reasonable price which included the train tickets, easy to book on line, providing you can find somewhere with WIFI or a decent phone signal, hard if you are based in Sidmouth.

A fantastic trip from start to finish. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We had arrived quite early and the boat was being thoroughly cleaned including all the windows for the view and blankets on the outside seats (it was pretty cold on the way out, milder on the way back so bring layers!). My daughter said it was the best hot chocolate she’d had, and the prices were very reasonable. Great commentary and scenery, absolutely recommend.

We went on the Jurassic Coast cruise and from booking, getting the tickets, on board and disembarking the staff were amazing. We find it unusual these day to get good service but everybody actually looked pleased to be there and pleased to see us. The commentary was great, just informative enough to be interesting but not over the top. The price of the drinks on board was very reasonable, service of drinks and helpfulness of the crew was wonderful. The condition of the boat and cleanliness second to none. Highly recommended

A really interesting day. Rose has an interest in geology so we joined an organised ‘geology’ boat trip from Exmouth, along the Jurassic Coast, passing within yards of Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Branscombe, Beer, Seaton, Axmouth, turning at Lyme Regis to return to Exmouth. Thanks to the excellent dialogue from the knowledgeable and professional geologist we now know our sandstone from our mudstone from our greensand. And I wasn’t sick! This is a great day out, the Stuart Line boat was first class, I cannot praise it enough. The boat was clean, the crew were excellent, as were the pasties and bar prices! Will be back soon, hopefully for one of their winter birding trips.
