Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We did a lovely circular walk from the main village promenade round to this beach and then up and over the hill, descending gently via a cliff-side path affording wide ranging views out to sea. Only 3 miles but enough to appreciate this stunning coastline.

Take time out from the main Woolacombe beach grab some fishing nets, take a picnic and give the kids a treat amongst the rock and rock pools.

This is a small beach, but really beautiful and avoids the crowds. The route down to it is steep and if you have children or a dog it can be a little tricky. Well worth the effort. Watch out for the tide coming in or you will have to swim from the back of the beach to the steps up the cliff!

walked on the esplanade to the different parts of Woolacombe bay - this was one of them. Positives: Lovely views, benches, grassed area and beach.

This beach is between Woolacombe Bay & Mortehoe
A bit tricky to reach but is definitely worth it once there.
In my opinion probably best at low tide as lots of interesting rock pools.

Secret beach is only accessible at low tide. But it is a gem. VERY steep descent down, but worth every raised eyebrow. It feels private.

Grunta is a nice little beach which rarely gets overly-busy and is tranquil as a result. The sand is fine and there are plenty of rock pools to explore. On the down side, it can be a bit of an adventure to get down to the beach over the rocks and be warned the tide comes in very quickly do unless you keep an eye out, there is a risk you can get caught out. There are also no lifeguards on the beach,

Love this place, I have amazing pictures of my children playing. The Rock Pools are the best so many Crabs I could spend hours just sitting and watching. This is smaller than the other Beaches but very different. There is nothing there no Toilets, no Café nothing it is lovely. One day there were 15 people on the Beach in August this is why we return year on year.

Don't surf here. I have spent thousands of hours surfing and this is a real bashing with rocks and super sharp spider crabs.

Stay away from the mad hoards of weird killer jellyfish.

Top tip: go to Croyde

Lovely little secluded beach. Access is trickier than most but well worth it. Great for inquisitive kids, bbq's and dogs.
