Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unlike the appalling ferry from Starcross to Exmouth (very rude staff) the Teignmouth to Shaldon ferry is delightful with pleasant staff and a lovely informal approach from beach to beach across the Teign Estuary. Cheap tickets. My only wish is that it could be a longer trip to enjoy more of the view.

We caught the passenger ferry to Teignmouth and back to Shaldon. A family ticket was reasonable and we didn’t wait long for the ferry. We did this on the day that we were exploring Shaldon, had a walk around Teignmouth and back again. Nice little experience.

Can’t really give a review of the trip as never stepped on the ferry...
But what I will say is with it being the year 2021 you should be offering more payment solutions other than Cash!!
In the current pandemic we are encouraged to even pay with contactless..or even PayPal or bacs!
How many people must walk off as don’t have cash..?

Like come on guys get with the times...
My two boys were really enjoying going on the ferry but ended up walking back around to shaldon as had no cash.

Quick little trip from Shaldon to Teignmouth across the water. Very impressed with the handling of the ferry as the tide was moving out at quite a speed. Dog friendly. Would do this again.

With a day exploring Shaldon and Teignmouth, we decided to take the ferry between the two rather than driving around - much more fun (and at £1.60 for adults, 60p for kids each way, not too pricy especially if you're saving on car parking fees)

The journey took maybe five minutes, we never had to wait too long and it's a lovely way to soak in the views on both sides. Great with kids as well.

Absolutely love this little ferry and each time we stay in Teignmouth, we always manage a trip across to Shaldon for a walk and cream tea! It is a beautiful little ferry and so well kept and run and wonderful piece of heritage to enjoy. Thank you! (£1.60 a trip, great value!)

No covid measures, everyone squished on...otherwise it’s a lovely little ride across the estuary. Not pricey and no large queues so worth the trip

We used it a number of times during our stay. Info boards and both ends with number to call if unsure when next trip is :-)
