Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

St Peters Church Shaldon is a Grade 1 listed building dedicated in 1895 which I found by accident across the bridge at Teignmouth. It turns out the architect was my great grandfather Edmund!! I had no idea and was really surprised to see the location on the riverbank, opposite the main train line between Cornwall and London. I have been researching the family tree and the churches my ancestors designed over 100 years ago, so I have added another church to the list with family connections.

A lovely Church which compliments the lovely area of Shaldon. It's a well kept and well used Church. In good order and a honour to the village 😊

I love coming to this church. It has and continues to be a wonderful place to visit with my two young children who over the years have enjoyed exploring the church and meeting Malcolm the verger and other members of the congregation.

St Peters organises a wide variety of events throughout the year - there is always something going on including theatrical and musical performances, memory cafes, traditional services and much more.

Its location next to the River Teign makes it a nice place to stop in and visit especially if you are walking the coastal path (you'll walk right past it) and it's almost always open during the day. There is a little parking outside the church but better to use the municipal car park just a 100 meters away.

If in the are do pop in and have a look at this church next to the bridge alongside the estuary. Not particularly spectacular as it is relatively new and of course it is not a tourist attraction as such but a place for peaceful reflection or a place for a rest whilst walking to/ from Teignmouth.
